Today July 7th 2005 my husband and I thought we would try out the new Applebees on Broadway in Columbia Missouri. It was between 12:30 and 1:00 and it was not very busy. First, we had a bartender named Michelle that was suposed to be waiting on us but was more concerned talking about her personal life with a guy at the bar. It took a good ten to fifteen minutes just to get our drinks and another thirty for me to get a chicken sandwich because she messed up the order.
My husband decided not to even order. Finally another server noticed what was going on and must have told one of the managers, who came out with the I'm very sorry. I'm sure your thinking but we just opened cut us some slack. I think we gave plenty, we didn't walk out. Don't open a new place when It was so apparent not everyone was ready. Things could have been dealt with a lot sooner if the managers had been visiting tables and were also making sure their staff were doing their jobs. I was very disappointed. I only hope more people will share their misfortunes with you instead of just not coming back. I also hope you take this complaint to heart and not just roll it under the rug. This is no way to do business.
