Went to Global Auto Mall in N. Plainfield, NJ to purchase a car after a trade-in of my 1999. The deal went through or so I thought with my $1500.00 dollars down only to learn 3 weeks later, I needed additional money, so my Mom put down $2000.00 dollars more for me. This all happen in December 2004, on January 30, 2005, Ed Rubino from Global Auto Mall called and said I needed to return the car or he was going to call the police and they would come and get the car. My Mom had me take the car back, and Ed Rubino told me to remove my car from his lot.
I had already cancel my insurance from my 1999 Galante and put it on the Altima.Upon us picking up my own car we determined that it had been an accident. Ed Rubino from Global Auto Mall told us that Global Auto Mall is not responsible for any damages done to my car. I thought the car the Altima was mine I even had an alarm put in it, that Ed Rubino said I was not going to reimburse for nor will I be compensated for the damages done to my Galant. We have been trying to get our money back since I turned in the car back in January. Is there any guidance that you can offer to me in getting our $3500.00 back from this car dealership?
