Complaint About Sprint: I noticed complaints on the website regarding Sprint rebates. I thought I would add my story. I moved to California from Boston in March of 2005. I went into my local Sprint store in the middle of April. I upgraded my phone and purchased a new two year contract. This was all in an effort to get a local phone number to make it easier for my colleagues at work to get in touch with me. I checked the website last week to find out the status of my rebate. I had realized that a great deal of time had passed (almost 10 weeks). The email told me that they did not get the original purchase price of the phone in the paperwork I sent them and that they had sent me a postcard to this affect. I never received the postcard. I had also sent a copy of the original receipt to them with the paperwork. The purchase price of the phone was on the paperwork I sent them. I sent the receipt, keeping a copy for myself, via registered mail to them. They got it on 7/5/05. The website now says I will need to wait another 4-6 weeks for my rebate. This would mean I will have waited over 14-16 weeks for $150. I think Sprint should just credit my account so I will not have to worry about the check "getting lost" in the mail. As of 9PM Pacific time on 7/7/05 the rebate website is down so I cannot check the status of my rebate. Peter Click this link to e-mail the message author: Email User
