Dear Dodge Chrysler,

This vehicle was purchased in Arnprior Ontario, Canada. This is the second vehicle which we have purchased from this company. We also were offered an extended warranty at the time of purchase through Global Warranty which cost approximately 1500.00, they were more than happy to point out the small print of the contract which states this procedure is not covered in the warranty. The problem they suspect is that the valves are burnt, and cost to repair is estimated at 2200.00, we brought the vehicle in on Monday June.27/05( and when we were not getting any cooperation we were given the vehicle back on Thursday June.30/05 with a can of flush for the valves), we were told that they were speaking with Global warranty to see what kind of coverage we would be entitled to, this vehicle has 128 000 km on it. When the dealership was not getting any cooperation from Global Warranty we were told to give them a call which also was to no avail, I have emailed Chrysler Canada and have not yet received a reply.

I cannot understand how a vehicle which has 128 000 km on it can have burnt valves, we have maintained this vehicle but much like the first we are continually left with a substantial bill for repair with no cooperation from either the dealership or the warranty company. Why are these warranty's offered. It seems the dealership would like to blame the warranty company, however they were the ones who sold us the warranty at the time of purchase..I'm sure I'm not the first to complain about this scam? I am very disappointed with Dodge Chrysler and cannot wait to repair this vehicle and purchase a much more reliable source of transportation. For those about to purchase or have a Dodge..BEWARE...unless you have a lot of money to throw away, purchase something else. In speaking with the Global Warranty representative this is a common defect with the 3.3L vehicles.....which the dealers are well aware of! Joanne
