Nuvo International Skin Centers

I am writing in regards to Nuvo International Skin Centers, located in Portland, OR in Washington Square and Clackamas Town Center Malls. I am including both locations for reasons I will explain shortly.

The customer service is exceptionally bad and the staff are rather unprofessional. I purchased six laser treatments for hair removal, went to two sessions and had the third one scheduled per their recommendations. I called them early June to reschedule the treatment for an earlier date (it was two days before my scheduled date) and was notified that they would need to reschedule it anyway, but for a later date, since "Nuvo is in the process of merging with another company." I stated that I am leaving out of country in 3 days and need the appointment at least on the scheduled date, if not sooner. The phone clerk asked me to come in two days (6/7/2005). I changed my schedule, drove all the way to Clackamas location, but when I walked in, I was greeted by Nuvo rep., who very abruptly informed me that they are not seeing anyone and that she "has no idea how I was scheduled and who scheduled me."

I asked to speak to a manager, but there was no one to resolve the comlaint. I proceeded to call Washington Square Nuvo location and was told that the manager, Jennifer Stradley, would be in tomorrow (6/8) at 10:00 AM. I called the next day, but was told that Jennifer was out of town and no one knew when she'd return. I left my contact information and the nature of the problem and asked her to call me back. It has been a month since I complained and received no call or any other contact from Nuvo to date.

I would advise all those who are considering treatment with Nuvo to stay away. It may appear that they have the best price and the convenience of several locations, however, it is very misleading and, generally, you get what you pay for.

Shame on you, Nuvo International!
