Car Alarm

Quick Stop Car Radio Repair 875 Stuyvesant Avenue Irvington, New Jersey 07111 Took my car to this business to have an alarm installed. When I returned to Pick up my car, I discovered that damage was done to my car. The key would not work in the ignition. The ignition had somehow been jammed. I was told by the owner that they were not responsible and I would have to pay for a locksmith. When I told him I wasn’t paying for damage that they caused to my vehicle, they removed the alarm from my car, closed their shop and left me standing there in a state of total disbelief and outrange. I had never felt so utterly helpless and humiliated in my life. No apology, or any offer to help me in no way whatsoever. To add insult to injury, their total disregard and disrespect left me speechless. This could easily qualify as a script straight from the Twilight Zone. I spent approximately 8 hours, thereafter, calling locksmiths and subsequently arranging for my car to be towed. I could not even get help from the local police (Irvington Police Department). I had to call the Police Department 3 times before I could get some assistance. They hesitantly arrived three hours later (after the business was closed). This is unbelievable. No law abiding tax paying citizen should have to go through this kind of hell. When two officers did arrive, they informed me that because this was not a criminal matter, there was nothing that they could do to help me. They told me to take the business to civil court. They gave me a number to a towing service and drove off. They showed little or no concern for my predicament. The Irvington Police did not even see the necessity to take a report or show any concern for my safety. And even though I was stranded their for approximately 8 hours, (I could not leave the vehicle because the windows were down and could not be put up without the ignition being turned on), they never came back to check to see If I was OK. I am appalled by their un-professional behavior. No crime committed? My car (property) was damaged by these people. To me damaging other people’s property is a crime. If in my anger (and I have every right to be angry) I had did some dame to their property or caused a scene as a result of their in-humane treatment, I would have been hand cuffed and locked up quicker than you can say 1, 2, 3. This would have constituted a crime and I would have been labeled a criminal, by a system that supports criminality and punishes the victim. Had the tables been turned, the Irvington Police Department would have responded much quicker than they did. I am a diabetic, and suffer from acute hypertension. I was stranded for 8 hours, without medication, among other things. I could have died as a result of the irresponsible behavior of Quick Stop Radio Repair, a so called business and the Irvington Police Department, whose job, I thought was to uphold the laws and protect us, the citizens of this city. Instead, they make mockery of the law. What a rude awakening I had that Saturday evening. Every right that I have as a citizen of this city, this state and this nation was violated by a bunch of thugs who consider themselves above the law, and a police department that reinforce this behavior by turning their heads. Was a crime committee. Yes, My property was damaged by a business which I entrusted to render service, my rights were violated with total disregard, my safety was questionable, and my health was jeopardized. What, then would have made this a crime? The lost of my life, maybe. B.
