Dear Sir or Madam

My complaint is against Tires Plus, Located in Atlanta-Smyrna, 3520 Atlanta RD SE, Smyrna, GA

30080-5930. Store number 240190

My service advisor was Maurice, and the manager I spoke to – Whit Natell.

My customer invoice number is 02ssss

My vehicle is Oldsmobile Achieva 1997 SC 2.4L The story: I was stuck in traffic when I noticed that my car was getting hot, as soon as the low coolant

light came on I pulled over and stopped, I looked under the car and sure enough it was leaking coolant.

So I called a tow truck and told them to take it to the nearest service station – tires plus. I got a call

from tires plus – they told me that the heater core needed to be replaced. I knew that the heater core was bypassed by the previous owner of the car – because when I bought the car, the heat did not work, so I took it to a mechanic and I was told that it is bypassed. I intended to get it fixed anyway before the weather gets cold, so I agreed on the repair even though I knew this was not the real problem.

I was also told that the thermostat needs to be replaced and it will cost 14.59, I said that the

thermostat is fine because the car did not overheat – they told me that this is their advice, so I said OK

14.95 is not a big deal – considering the cost of the heater core, however they failed to mention that labor on the thermostat will cost me 142.50 – which is a lot of money in my opinion to replace a thermostat, on a 97 Oldsmobile Achieva. I paid, started my car and noticed that the low coolant, and check engine lights were on. So I went

back in and told them. They took the car back in the shop, and shortly after I was informed that the low

coolant light will stay on because the sensor is damaged, and that the check engine light has been

taken care of. So I left, a few miles down the road the low coolant light went off, and everything was

fine for a few minutes, then the check engine and ets off lights came on simultaneously. So I called Whit Natell and told him what happened, he told me that they fixed the cooling system and as long as the car is not overheating they are not responsible. I believe that they are responsible, also I think that they are not very honest . . . they lied to me,

overcharged me, and on top of that I am having problems with my vehicle that I did not have before.

Needles to say I do not want to take my car there again, even if they agree to work on it for free, I

would like my money back, or at least part of it. Thank you for your time

Sincerely,
