PLAYBOY and many OTHER Magazine subscription and billing Resolution!
I too had problems with a magazine subscription order, billing, renewal notices, double billing ect. I finally went to the better business bureau in Des Moines IA. and found the NAME of the subscription company, which they of course along with phone and email contact do NOT place anywhere on their bills.
I called the 800 number on the bottom of the page and got a very nice woman who assisted me in a timely resolution and of course could not comment on their business practices... This should be illegal for companies to not post contact information for customer resolution on a bill! According to the BBB report they are doing nothing illegal and complaints that the BBB have documented were resolved.
Haha yeah, but not everyone would find the information I did without some investigation and I imagine that there are many frustrated magazine subscription customers out there.
Well here is a potential resolution for you if this company maintains your subscription to a magazine. I have cut and pasted the information below from the Idaho BBB page about this company so others may get resolution before it goes to a collection agency. There is a partial list of magazines they manage but you can call and verify if you are one of their customers.
I called the 800 number for the subscription dept. and verified who I was and that they managed my subscription.
Once verified that I was one of their customers my order, renewal and double billing issues took only 3 minutes to resolve.

I had recently gotten the card at our P.O. box and found it so offensive that I wrote on it, DO NOT EVER SEND ME SOLICITATIONS AGAIN! and dropped it back in the mail. today I got an invoice and congrats on ordering playboy. I was furious. No number to call, no nothing. I was able to call them tonight and give them a stern, "you better take care of this right now" piece of my mind. they removed me from the mailing list......and i asked for a letter in writing that it was done. For 2 years in a row he has given a gift subscription to our adult son, but each year we received 2 subscriptions (to the same address!) and were billed for them both. Last year there was a phone # on our bill so we were able to call and have the problem corrected. This year there isn't a phone # on the bill. We paid for the gift subscription (the check was cashed). They stopped sending the duplicate magazines after we sent multiple letters explaining the error, but we keep getting bills for the second subscription which we never ordered. I was told though after my son's school had a contest of selling mag. for fund raiser that a kid he be-friended and later they had a fallen out had ordered the P.B. in my husbands name to get even with my Son. Now we are stuck getting these bills and we go to church and have been trying to resolve this through letters to the address on the bill but they continue to bill us and then i saw your letter with the phone number on it and he called it and he said that the matter was taken care of I sure hope so this has been very upsetting to our family.
