CLARITY POOLS/BRAND CO. LOCATION: Munster,In, Schereville, In and numerous other locations listed. On April 30, we had a representative from Clarity Pool come to our home to give us an estimate on replacing a liner for our in-ground pool. The man's name was Dave and he claims to be the president of Clarity pools. On this date we signed a contract with him and gave a $2000.00 deposit. He assured us that we would be swimming by 5/31, Memorial Day. The pool liner was supposed to be installed on 5/29, they were a no call/no show so we called him. Told us that he was really behind and that he would be there the following Friday on 6/3, his workers ran into heavy traffic could not make that date. Saturday 6/4 his workers had car trouble, were unable to make it. He promised us every week that he would be out to replace our pool and every week he had an excuse for now being there. The final straw was July 5, I was home that day, my husband called and Dave said that his crews was on the way to the shop and they would be at our house by 10:00, of course they were a no-show. We had told Dave that if he did not show on 7/5 we wanted our money back. So we called Dave and asked for a refund and he said fine, no problem. So now we are calling him every other day for our refund and of course he tells us every time we call the check is in the mail. Today was the final straw, we finally received two checks in the mail, one was for $900.00 and the other for $1100.00. Of course with the issues we have had we did not want to deposit the checks in our account for fear of being charged for bounced checks. We took the checks to his bank to cash them and of cause the checks weren't any good. I just want this to be posted because I would not want anyone to go through what we have be through with this company.
