GE Customer Service - Raleigh, NC I have a GE Profile top of the line stainless steel cabinet depth refrigerator you can only buy at "pricy" places and I have owned it for less than 4 years. A few months ago my crisper began freezing things. The repair man came out for $50 and then told me the part to fix the problem would be $75. Once it was "fixed" I continued to have the problem. He then came back out and popped a piece into place, which seemed to "fix" it again. A few weeks later my water dispenser, in my freezer door, gave out. The repairman said that he would have to order an entire door for the thing. We recieved 3 doors before we finally got one that wasn't banged up from the poor shipping.
He installed it the other day and while he was here I pointed out that none of the dented doors had been picked up and the criper was freezing things AGAIN. He barely looked at the crisper and left. It has been almost a month and Fed Ex says they won't pick up the doors unless they are re-boxed, like I just happen to have two refrigerator sized boxes in my garage. Customer service basically tells my I just have to talk to someone in Customer Relations (which I have spoken with them on 3 occassions now). They are only opened 8-5 and if you're lucky you aren't on hold for longer than 15 minutes. All in all I'd say GE makes some pretty rotten refrigerators and they have about the same rating as far as service. DO NOT BUY A REFRIGERATOR MADE BY GE OR PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR A "NICER" REFRIGERATOR...IT ISN"T WORTH IT!! When I complained to customer service about their poor workmanship they just said that the more things you get on a refrigerator the more things can go wrong...by things I guess they mean things like crisper drawers...sigh.
