In response to this complaint,..We have no way of even knowing if we indeed did any work for this un-named person. This could very well be a disgruntled ex- employee or a competitor. They claim to have not even paid for the job, so please show me some proof that we were even there. They claim to have not even put water in it yet, totally unbelievable, our product does not and will not chip off, get rough or discolor if it has not even been touched.

As for any fumes sure the material has fumes associated with it. However, it really is not anymore than that of nail polish remover and will not kill a dog or a small person, that is a totally ridiculous statement. It is obvious to us that if indeed we did any work for this person that they had no intention of paying for it in the beginning. We use a very good top notch venting system to vent out any bothersome fumes.

Our technicians come to us with prior auto body and spray experience. We have over 125,000 satisfied customers that we have been servicing for the last 33 years. We truly believe our reputation can speak for itself.

Eastern Refinishing advertises in a local NJ paper (The Independent Press) to re-glaze bathtubs.

 

I called Eastern and had a service person perform the work for approx $300. The work was not performed correctly probably due to improper training by Eastern. My entire bathroom (tile, fixtures, wood cabinets) now have spray residue from the product used on the tub. The process took approx 4 hours and the smell is enough to kill a small child or dog. The tub has chips, rough spots, discoloration and I have not even put water in it so there will assuredly more problems. This is going to cost me a small fortune to get my bathroom back to where it was.

 

The principal of the company Charles Gayler operates out of Canada and obtains people to perform work for him locally (by state) obviously without proper training and also uses an inferior product. Charles Gayler has legal suits throughout the US against him. Most recent in May 05 was the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois and Ohio. As my work was not performed correctly and I have damage to my bathroom, I refused to pay the serviceman.

The serviceman put me on the phone with Charles Gayler who rudely threatened me and screamed at me unless I paid : " my serviceman will destroy your tub now, I will place a lien against your property and destroy your credit." As this behavior frightened me so much, I filed a police report against him and the company. And I cannot let them back in my home.

 

CONSUMER ALERT: proceed with EXTREME CAUTION associating with this company, as a worker or consumer.
