Sprint PCS / rebate Sprint PCS / rebate
Sprint advertises an upgrade program in which you get a $150 rebate when you upgrade a phone. The requirement is that you have had the phone "in continuous service" for 18 months. In Sept. 1994, I upgraded a Sprint phone I had had since March 1992. I mailed in my rebate form. The rebate has been denied because Sprint claims the phone has not been in service for 18 months. They claim that the phone was out of service for 7 days, from Dec 30 2004 to Jan 7 2005.
I know nothing about this, and Customer Sercice cannot explain why the phone was listed as out of service for 7 days. Nonetheless, and even though the phone was in service continuously for 22 months (3/02-12/04), they refuse to give me the rebate. The rebate was suggested to me by a Sprint Store representative. I would not have bought a new phone without the rebate. Yet Sprint refuses to take responsibility. This is fraud. As usual with Sprint, there is no address for letters of complaint, and Customer service will not help. I have no recourse but to leave Sprint as soon as my current contract is up. I warned them that they would lose a customer, but they clearly do not care.--
