Sears snow blower 9 HP, 29” clearing width &#160 The snow blower eats auger drive gears. My first failure was on the fourth snow storm. Sears provided a replacement gear. This is now the third season and the brass gear was again destroyed. This has also happened to my father and yesterday my neighbors brand new show blower did the same thing.

I have never broken a shear pin but I have to keep an extra gear and gasket on hand for the next time the gear goes. This is preposterous. They should stock the brass drive gears in the home center, not the shear pins.
