My problem is with www.onlinepcdeals.com. The company is located at 23480 Aurora Rd. Unit 3, Bedford Hts., OH 44146. Telephone number (888) 395-1688, until you have a problem then you must dial a toll number, (440) 786-3982.

I ordered a Maxtor 200GB Hard Drive through this company's website on November 11, 2004. They stated that the product was in stock and will be shipped as soon as payment is received. I paid by check so it took about 10 days, when I called they said that the check was received and verified and that the drive would be shipped the next day. What I received though was a Western Digital 200GB drive, with no warranty, packing slip or manufacturer's information. I have had problems with Western Digital in the past so I did not want this drive.

I contacted OnlinePC and told them that I wanted exactly what I ordered or my money back. I was told that I should just keep the drive they sent because it is superior to the one I ordered and if I wanted a refund they would charge me a restocking fee and deduct shipping charges form the refund amount. It is unbelievable to me that a customer could order one product and they just ship whatever they want and expect you to pay to restock it if you don't want to keep it.

I finally decided to return the merchandise and have them send me the Maxtor, insisting that it is a new one, not remanufactured or refurbished. I got an RMA from them and shipped it back on December 12, 2004. Well it is January 6, 2005 now and I am still waiting to get my drive.

They do not respond to my requests for updates. The employees are rude and not very knowledgeable. The customer service waivers between incompetence and non-existence. I would suggest that if you can avoid doing business with this company, then you should. Thank you.
