Best Buy Reward Zone Best Buy Reward Zone
My husband signed up for a reward zone card in May of 2004. We purchased numerous things and we received our points for them. In July 2004, we purchased a house and went to Best Buy to purchase a TV stand, a refrigerator and some DVDs. About a month and a half later we had not received the points so my husband called the reward zone center and they told him that his certificates were issued to his dads address and under his dads name. My husband and his father have the same name (my husband is Jr. though). The customer service representative told my husband that new ones would be reissued to him and would be mailed in about six to eight weeks and that for the inconvenience, his father could keep the other certificates (about $70 worth). In November, his parents went to Best Buy to redeem those points and the reward zone center had cancelled the certificates even though they said they wouldnt. His dad complained to the store manager and they finally honored the certificates. My husbands parents called him to tell him what happened so my husband called Best Buy again to see where our certificates were. The customer service representative told my husband that they were ONCE AGAIN sent to his father. My husband was pretty mad at this point and told the lady that he wants this corrected. She said that new ones would be sent in six weeks. Well, six weeks has passed and my husband called the reward zone department the other day and was told that everything is under investigation. He then asked to speak to the customer service representatives manager. She told him that her manager does not take calls. He then asked to speak to that persons manager. He was told that he could not speak to anybody else none of the managers take calls. He asked for a message to be left for a higher up manager and was told that they do not make outgoing calls. This is so ridiculous. I am considering taking legal action. Ive read around on the internet and apparently the Best Buy Reward Zone Program is ripping everybody off. Theyve gotten some pretty bad reviews. We have been loyal Best Buy customers for years, but not anymore. If they keep conducting business like this, they wont have any customers left. Kara L.
