Maytag front loader washing machine

Maytag front loader purchased at McKinney's Appliance Center in Olympia, WA. We purchased the set of Maytag's Neptune Front Loader. The machine developed an odor which permeated the laundry room. It was a "swamp" type smell. Turns out mildew, mold and micro-organisms grow in the rubber seal which the door closes into.

I called Maytag but they wouldn't help me as a class action lawsuit was underway. I had to pay for the repairs myself with little hope of recovery. To make matters worse, the repairman told me that all he did was replace the seal with another just like the other one. He suggested we leave the door open between washes. Had we read Consumer's Reports, we would have found out that Maytag has the worst repair record. I might add they also have the worst customer service in the business. Pay a little extra and get the Whirlpool or Kenmore front loader, you'll save money in the long run. A former Maytag customer. NEVER AGAIN.
