Callvantage Callvantage
Callvantage is a phone service that uses the high speed internet or cable you use for your computer to give you local and long distance phone service. They're part of AT&T.
I ordered this service on Dec. 23rd and quickly received a router and instructions on how to activate my account. I couldn't get it to work so I called the tech support number for the router - it was in India. I spent two hours repeating myself to these people - and asking them to do the same for me, and was finally told the router must be bad and to call customer service to get instructions for sending it back and receiving a replacement.
That was over a week ago. I have called them dozens of times at all hours, trying to get instructions for returning the router. I have spent several hours on hold. I've gone to their website repeatedly and tried to get assistance that way. What I got instead was several e-mails telling me they were sorry for my inconvienence but I would have to call customer service.
I only have a few more days to cancel my service and return the router without being charged, but I can't do either unless someone in customer service will answer the phone.
I don't know what to do. I don't have a land-line, just cell phones - that's why I signed up in the first place.
This has really been a horrific experience, I feel like I've wasted the last week of my life trying to get hold of these people.
If I have any recourse, or you know of any way I can get this taken care of please let me know.
Callvantage is easily the most frustratingly unhelpful, inefficent company I have ever dealt with in my life.
