To All Consumers:
I had the most unfortunate experience I have had at any hotel (including Motel 6) at the Ramada Inn & Hollywood Conference Center in Los Angeles, California.
The commode did not work when I arrived. The room was freezing, and there were no individual controls for heat and air conditioning. The refrigerator did not work (the front desk told me it was a cooler -- don't we all want an electric cooler). This meant that I had to throw two brand new prescription medications away, because they were not refrigerated, and because it was the Christmas holiday, they had no more rooms (although I saw one woman walk in and get a room without a reservation). I had requested two double beds and got one queen bed -- and could not get two double beds, because they considered that an upgrade. The water was not hot, and a warm shower did not help the circumstances..
If you are wise, you will not stay there. The people at the front desk were rude, uncooperative, and inept. When I went through my booking company to get a refund (because I had to find another hotel with hot water), they also found that the people were rude, incompetent, or just not there.
On top of all this, they listed the owners' telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address. None of these work.
Find some other place to stay. -- Also, make certain that there are not newspapers blown all over the street and outside the property -- remember this was a RAMADA. I trusted them to be all right. I was wrong.
