Ive had the totally frustrating experience trying to use Net2Phone as my long distance carrier. Ive been using them for a few months now, each time paying up-front for my long distance time. Almost two weeks ago I sent them another money order for $50 and waited for it to be credited to my account. When the money was not credited after the first week I emailed their billing department.
I got back a form letter asking for specifics regarding the money order, like the serial number of the order. The letter stated that this would help them locate my payment, implying that it might be missing. I responded and sent them a follow-up email two days later when I didnt hear back from them. The response was the same form letter that I received before. I have since received an email telling me that I should normally allow 10-12 business days for money to be credited to my account. Thats two weeks or more! I emailed them more than once asking for a contact phone number for customer service.
This request has been ignored each time. Thus far Ive received 5 form letters from them asking for the same information that Ive already sent them. In the meantime, Ive run out of long distance minutes. I have since over-nighted them another money order to make sure that I got the credit I desperately needed. They have failed to credit me for this money order as well. I dont remember dealing with a company with worse customer service.
How can a company that provides telephone services to the public NOT have a customer service telephone number? If you were ever tempted to try Net2Phone, you should forget that idea. Im switching to Vonage.
