Long Fence and Siding Co.

My mother received a mailer flyer from Long Fence and Siding Co. and decided that she'd like to purchase a few replacement windows. The flyer gave an 800 number to call to set an appointment to have a in home demonstration. She called the number and spoke to Ms. Montgomery. Ms. Montgomery asked about convenient times for a salesperson to come to her home. As they were about to agree to a time and date Ms. Montgomery asked my mother if her husband (my father) would be present for the demo.

When my mother told her no he probably wouldn't be there Ms. Montgomery demanded that he be there and then flat out refused to complete setting the appointment. Ms. Montgomery proceeded to berate and insult my mother and even accused her of "playing" with her time. Ms. Montgomery made statements suggesting that my mother couldn't possibly make decisions about the appearance of her home without my father present.

Why was this able to happen? Is Long Fence and Siding a company that permits it's employees to treat potential customers with such distain and rudeness? How could this person possibly be a representative of the image that this company portrays on television? Is my mother's money not as green as a man's?

People like Ms. Montgomery place this company at great risk and are considered liabilities instead of assets. I request a call from someone in upper managerment as I plan to notify the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Consumer Affairs of this incident that shouldn't have taken place.

Sincerely,

Kandi Taylor
