Complaints. Escrowed Hazard Insurance &#160 RE: Nova Star Mortgage Company, Loan Acct. for Edouard & Elizabeth

Dear Sir/Madam:

My complaint is about escrowed hazard insurance payments. Month of November our home owners insurance policy is due, the insurance company that we had took a large jump in the annual price, so we searched around for another company that could give us the coverage we needed for a better price. When we found a company, we faxed to the Mortgage company a copy of the binder and my paid out of my pocket the check, so that they knew we had insurance coverage.

There has been contact with Nova's Customer Service Reps (4x) on this matter due to a large increase in our mortgage payment which are automatically withdrawn from our bank account. I realize that the payments would go up a little due to the taxes that are escrowed but not like this, (1/3/05 $913.09, 12/1/04 $891.97, 11/1/04 $ 768.48, 10/1/04 $788.77 and the remaining months was $788.77) we reached a letter form Nova In January 05 that was mortgage was to go up to $996.25 effective 3/1/05, due to a shortage of $777.33 in our escrow.

In reviewing our end end account statement sent to us 1/29/05 it showed a payment of $1.351.00 for hazard insurance was paid (to who ?) as I mentioned before I paid for the insurance out of my pocket. In November 04 I paid for the insurance out of my own pocket to leave in escrow that amount to put towards the increasing taxes. That was my intentions this time also.

I feel that they need to reimburse my account $ 1,351.00 and credit each month the overage taken from our bank account. they will be contacted again by me and if no results are acted upon immediately, I will have to seek a lawyer.
