I was on flight KL664 from Houston to Amsterdam and KL409 from Amsterdam to Almaty on 20th of December. As always happens with KLM, luggage arrival was delayed and I was told that it's coming with the next flight. Missing piece of luggage was new laptop, still in factory sealed box. You can understand my concern: why all other luggage came on time, but laptop left fro the next flight?

 

Without giving me any reasonable explanation, KLM's agent (Ayzhan) issued me "Property Irregularity Report (PIR)" and she said that laptop will be sent immediately as soon as it arrived in Almaty airport. Even then I was skeptical about capabilities of KLM staff, I said myself let's live let's see what will happen. As you already know, nothing happened, but I belive in miracles.

 

Two weeks passed, by that time I had to leave my home country Kazakhstan for USA, but before I called KLM agency in Almaty, but all I've heard are apologies and promises to send me e-mail whenever any new information will be obtained. After coming back to US I didn't get any e-mails or phone calls. Seems KLM doesn't care about lost bags at all!!! I called KLM agency in Almaty again, and again apologies and promises. Since that day 39 days passes, I still got neither my laptop back nor refund.

 

Please advise me what to do in this situation. Where and to whom should I send request for refund? I thank you and www.complaints.com in advance for any help! P.S. I think I still have laptops receipt…
