3 Day Blinds is a retail store that sells blinds, shutters,and shades for the home. Our main complaint is in regards to poor service and installation time. To begin with, they ought to change their name to 30 Day Blinds because that is exactly the time it took to order, and have our blinds delivered and installed. The home sales presentation went well and we were impressed with their product. Our sales person gave us her card and cell phone if we needed her for anything. We selected our order on December 11, 2004 and had everything ordered and paid for (including installation) by December 12th. We were told that we would not have the blinds by Christmas and even though not 3 Days, at that point that was OK with us. The contract states that everything must be paid for in full (which it was), before the installer would pick the blinds up from the store and call you for your installation appointment. About 3-5 days from receipt, they say. Our blinds were on my front doorstep in 3 different deliveries from UPS, a couple days before Christmas. After dragging the 6 foot boxes into the house myself, I began my series of phone calls to my salesperson to try and schedule an installation time. We were going to be home the whole week of December 27th so that would have been perfect.

 

I never received a call from our sales person after my messages left. I finally called 3 Day Blinds in Irvine, CA directly and was given a number to call for the installation company. They do not tell you that the installation is outsourced. After a few messages, and no call backs, I finally reached the installation company and they told us they had not received our contract from 3 Day Blinds at all. We finally had our blinds installed on January 14th, a full month after this whole process started. I will never use them again and to date, still have had no follow up even on the installation. They have a lot to learn about service and need to be very careful about advertising a time frame for product delivery and not following through.
