I have a 4 yrs old GE Profile refrigerator Last week it started freezing the vegetables in the fresh food compartment. It is running very very cold regardless of where I have the temperature control setting or vents.
I called GE to schedule a service call and the technician who came told me that I should set the temp at 9, the highest settings because 'this is how they all work, and the book is wrong'. He also offered to replace evry part in it if I so desire.
He did not check anything, he came hands in his pockets. I called their Consumer Relations who scheduled another appt, with a different technician. The same technician called today to ask me if I had ordered the parts and GE infromed me that they do not have anyone else and cancelled my appointment. I think GE has gone over the top, They have poor quality products and no respect for their customer base.
