Limebarb.com is the site of Barbara Staples, who takes commission orders for anime and video game themed costumes. Starting in February 2004, she had been missing deadlines that she promised to keep. She was not contacting her customers to notify them of any problems. Attempts to contact her by phone, email and mail were ignored. She only gave some people refunds, and only for half of the amount paid even if no work had been done. Several customers have been waiting over 16 months for their costumes, and have been unable to contact Ms. Staples who has only been giving vague updates through her website. Despite her missing many deadlines, she continued to take multiple orders into late 2004, and was found to be making costumes for herself and her friends, as recent as December 2004, while paid contracts were ignored. To date she hasn&#226€™t given a reasonable explanation for her poor service and questionable behavior, opting instead to have her network of friends intimidate and undermine public statements of the horrible service that Limebarb.com offers.

A majority of this post contains rumors, hearsay, etc. all concerning 2004 and earlier. Very little of it contains content of a real persons direct experience with limebarb.com. Any order discrepancies from this era have been resolved. Any customers with problems should contact us directly to get it sorted out by emailing limebarb AT limebarb.com

This has been posted all over the internet by a STALKER in an attempt to ruin the company. This was not written by a customer at all.

At the time in early 2004 the business we co-owned by two people. Some unfortunate miss-management at the time, and the break-up/splitting of the other partner left my (at the time) one person company with a an overwhelming amount of catch up work. At the time my hands were very full with trying to pick up the pieces, but I made sure to be responsible to my customers in fixing the delays that happened at that time.

I would also like to state that this article is merely one NON-CUSTOMER complaint, written 5 years ago. Please take into consideration that limebarb.com is an every growing business. In 2004 it was a small business completing 90 projects a year. It is now a 7 person operation completing nearly 400 custom made costumes a year.

As a side note we would like to express that we do not support sites like ripoffreport.com or complaints.com as we feel that they promote flaming and complaining over supporting actual customers with actual complaints that need resolution. We recommend to anyone out there who, as a customer, have a valid complaint with any company to contact the company and attempt to reach a resolution with them. If none can be reached, lodge your complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as they have been around for years, and are set up to properly work with both consumers and businesses.
