AOL Credit Alert is really Trilegiant Corporation

I wrote earlier this morning about AOL Credit Alert and detailed my complaint. It took me nearly 5 years but I was just able to find out that AOL Credit Alert has nothing to do with AOL.

No wonder AOL never responded to my written correspondence! I thought it was junk mail. How do

they get your credit card number when you don't sign up for their service??? How do I get something done about Trilegiant Corporation on the charges on my credit card for the

last few years? Thanks!

AOL Credit Alert

AOL Credit Alert, Virginia

888-289-6318 I have been trying to get refunded for AOL Credit Alert charges on my VISA for years! I never signed up

for the service, yet several years ago charges began showing up on my VISA once a year. Each year, I

called them to get it refunded and make sure my "account" was closed. Every year, I go through the same thing with them and I never receive any confirmation that it is has been removed and then the next year I get a charge and go through it all again. This year, I called and the 888 number tells you that they can't take your call and hangs up on you!!! I finally cancelled my VISA card TODAY so that they don't have access to it! I should have done this

years ago, but I was stupid enough to think things had been worked out. I have never received any correspondence from AOL Credit Alert so I have no idea what address they have for me or what services they THINK they are providing me! Does anyone know how I can remedy this? I probably should have gotten a lawyer ages ago. I tried checking my parents AOL account for an address to write to for AOL Credit Alert and couldn't find anything at all. I know that I couple years ago, I did try writing my complaint to AOL and never heard anything. I just hope that by cancelling my card I can end this nightmare which has cost me over $500 in charges and interest! AOL is running a total fraud and AOL users should beware because they obviously get you through your account. I stopped using AOL for my email service four years ago. Thanks! Any advice as to if you think I can get some sort of restitution would be great. If not, please

let me know if you think cancelling my credit card will end this nightmare. Anya K. Click this link to e-mail the above consumer: Email User Consumer
