After 3 years of never being late with a payment, I have received numerous harassing phone calls from BANK ONE for an auto lease that was fabricated by a dealer and a Bank One representative. The lease was altered after delivery, changing the numbers from 780.00 / mo. To 1120.00 / mo. , and therefore selling the car for 20,000. over list. No attorney would take the case, as I was not given copies of the original, after the dealer claimed the “printer was down”. I chased after the “lease” for a year, and even the bank refused to send me a copy. Work forced me to move out of state, where the car would have been out of it’s element and damaged on the country roads, so I opted to leave it at the original dealer on consignment. The car was used when I got it, with 24k mi. it needed new tires and a new convertible top, as well as paint in some places, which I paid for ALL. In 3 years I put 9000 miles on it, where the lease would have allowed 36k. All tolled, they got a better car back, 40k in payments and the vehicle is still worth 45k. Needless to say it was never sold and I carried the 1120./mo payment for 2 years. BANK ONE is now harassing me for a “Return of Vehicle fee” ???? They have ripped me off for the 3500. security deposit, and are calling me for an additional 371.00…… The people who call are idiots, with obviously no education or skills of any kind. Regardless of what you say, it isn’t documented, and the same person never calls twice. This is a BANK that you should avoid at all cost. They are into Credit Card schemes and are a big part of the debtor problem in the U.S. A very NON American company indeed. Admin
