To Whom It May Concern, I have a complaint to register against Extended Auto Warranty Corp of Rocky River, Ohio. I purchased an extended warranty with this company and all seemed fine. I submitted my first claim and they timely and efficiently took care of the problem.
Well, it all went down hill from there. Since then, I have submitted about 3 more claims and this warranty company has kept me waiting every time to even respond to the claim. Recently, I had put my car in the shop and found out the my head gaskets were about to blow. So, naturally, I submitted a claim to the warranty company.
My car sat in the dealership waiting to be worked on for almost a week before they could get their act together and authorize the claim. I had to do most of the work by obtaining my own records stating that I had regularly serviced the vehicle and they never even contacted me regarding the issue. I had to contact them everytime!
Even after leaving numerous voice mails and messages, I still did not hear from a re presentative. Finally authorization was cleared and the car got fixed. But, after the car was fixed, the warranty company was supposed to authorize payment for the work that was done. Yet again, I waited on them to get their act together and submit payment.
After three days of waiting for payment, my car sitting in the shop ready, numerous voice mails and messages, and a lot of anger and frustration on my part, I was able to contact someone about this and have it resolved. I still do not know to this day what the exact reason was for the delay, but all I know is that is was unreasonable and ridiculous! In total, I had to wait two weeks for a simple procedure on my car to be authorized and paid for. If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is!!
