Holiday Hair Salon, Schnecksville, PA in the King's IGA Shopping Plaza: Since my unruly eyebrows were in need of a trim, I stopped by the Holiday Hair Salon hoping for a remedy. Instead of going to a reputable, higher priced salon, I wanted to support the local beauty shop. Unfortunately, I didn't know that Holiday Hair also seems to provide S & M services.

I was greeted and promptly told that the fee would be $10 for an eyebrow wax. Little did I know that both my eyelids would be BURNED and I still resembled a werewolf. I've been getting my eyebrows waxing for years and have never had such a painful experience. I wanted to give the "waxer" the benefit of the doubt (maybe she was a new employee) however this beauty school drop out told me she had been in the waxing business for over ten years. Again, maybe she was having a bad day or had been out of practice? I certainly don't mind paying a mere $10, in fact I'd pay more for a job WELL DONE.

The only thing "well done" turned out to be the skin under both of my eyes which are still ( 5 days later) visibly scarred. I'm not the law suit type, nor do I feel that I suffered permanent damage; however, I certainly wouldn't want my mother or a close friend (possibly even my worst enemy) to experience such an uncomfortable situation. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

I have had the same result, althought not at that salon, but in turn another holiday hair!! It has happened to me several times!! I reason for this is because their wax is kept too hottt!! I think $10.00 is way to much to pay when the burn the bujesus out of you!!
