broke seats

I own two General Motors products, one is a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and the other is a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer.

Both vechiles have the same problem, the passenger seat does not latch back into place after allowing access to the rear seat. After pulling the passenger seat forward to allow access to the rear, you pull the seat upright and slide backwards causing it to latch into to stop it from moving.

On both vechiles this does not happen, the seat still moves backward and forwards when you are stopping or acclerating. This has all the potential for a safety hazard that could result in possible injury or ever death in a serious car accident.

The dealership said it is not covered by warranty and will cost $250 each to repair. I believe there should be a recall issued for these issues. Your help in this would be greatly appreciated. thank you,
