Hotels.com on the Internet. On 2/13/05 I searched for a Maui, Hawaii vacation package online at www.hotels.com for our family of 4 from LAX to Maui with Hotel air and rental car on the package. I called personally to book the package at the rate of $629 per person and gave the agent my credit card. When he put my credit card through with the package he found that the rental car Alamo on the package was not available and switched it to Hertz.

 

That was approved so he attempted to put my credit card on this package for $2660. He then informed me my credit card was not approved. We called my credit card company together and they said it was approved the 1st time but then the Hotel.com employee attempted to put my card through "6" more times. I was on the phone for over two frustrating hours and Hotels .com passed me to over 3 people who all gave me the run around.

 

They said I had to wait until today 2/14 and they would call the credit car company to work it .out, BUT in the mean time I have lost my pricing and reservations and it has gone up over $100.00 per person!! Hotels.com say they can not help me even though the funds were approved on my credit card, because of the way their employee entered the transaction. Now the price is higher by over $400 and they will not honor the price quoted and approved on 2/13. I will never use Hotels .com again and strongly do not recommend any one to Ever use this service.
