To whom it may concern:

On November 24, 2004, I entered an agreement with JK Harris & Company of Charleston, SC. The salesperson, Ed Snyder, presented me with an agreement of representation to resolve a tax issue on a racial discrimination settlement over tax by the IRS. I signed the relevant agreement and he told me I would be contacted by a case specialist that would resolve the clear tax issue with the IRS.

I was contacted about two weeks later by a person saying they were ready to negotiate a "payment plan" with the IRS. I told them that is not what I hired them for and they responded that they could only negotiate a payment plan with the IRS. They further stated that the tax was due and my only hope was to get a small monthly payment plan with the IRS.

Because of the misrepresentation of the salesperson I decided to cancel the agreement with JK Harris & Company. They received the letter of cancellation on June 22, 2005.

Since June the 22, 2005, I have written 7 emails to various people within the company and left 6 phone messages over the last 3 weeks, none of which have been replied to. I have made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, & the States Attorney General of both Maryland and South Carolina.

I have researched JK Harris and have found that the States Attorney Generals of Kansas and Missouri have filed suit against JK Harris for misrepresentation, fraud and undelivered services. The Better Business Bureau has over 1,000 complaints of similar nature on file as well.

I wish to state at no time has JK Harris & Company performed any service for me whatsoever and, in my opinion, actively misrepresented themselves against agreement thereby knowingly committing fraud.

My experience with the IRS was settled by me with the IRS acknowledging that I had, in fact, been wrongly taxed and no tax was due. JK Harris would have had me on a payment plan for over $14,000 dollars had I changed our agreement from resolving the tax issue to their payment plan advice. Not only is JK Harris fraudulent in their practices, but completely unaware of IRS tax laws and procedures.

Fortunately, JK Harris & Company have only defrauded me of $1,250, but do your research...they have defrauded many people of much more.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

Respectfully Submitted,

Jeffrey
