Less Schwab Tires Clearwater Kennewick Washington.

I purchased a new set of Toyo Tires for our pickup truck before traveling to Alaska this summer (2005) 2 month road trip.

Front right tire acquired a hole about the diameter of a pencil. Had the tire booted for $40.00 at a non-Schwab dealer, as there are no Less Schwab tire stores in Alaska main land.

I left the spare on the front right as I do not want to run a damaged tire with a camper on the truck on the front.

As any of you that have purchased tires from Schwab knows the contract reads in bright red letters, free road hazard protection, Free flat repair, Free tire rotation,free tire balance, free tire inspection,free air check, snow tire installation and removal.

When I got back home I still had the spare on the front right, I went to Clearwater Schwab in Kennewick to have the two tires removed and switched on the rims balanced and replaced. I also wanted them to inspect the damaged tire to see if it was ok to use.

I was never told if this tire was good or bad and they charged me $20.31 for performing the tire changes and supposed inspection.( not a bad price if you where on the road and no Schwab service where available) NO where on this contract does it state that there is a charge for any mounting or dismounting . They never had to fix the flat that they would have had to or dismount and change the spare back to its mount if I had been home and this had happened.

I believe the charge to be invalid and not living up to their contract.
