Parking Management Office Parking Management Office August 30, 2005 I paid for parking, $8.75, received a receipt. When I got to the gate to insert my ticket I could not find the ticket. I told the person standing at the gate I did not know what happened to my ticket, but I do have the receipt indicating I had paid for parking. The gate person told me to get out of line and go report the ticket missing. I found another parking space, walked back up stairs, stood in line f, again... I explained I had misplaced the ticket. I was told that I had to pay for a lost ticket. I showed my receipt indicating I had paid for parking. I was told I had to pay for a lost ticket. So, to avoid any further frustration, I said I would pay for the lost ticket, just give me a receipt for the $14. I was told someone would be coming to help me. I stood and waited for twenty minutes. When this person came, I told him all I wanted was a receipt for the additional $14 I paid for the lost ticket. The person told me I had to fill out a form and he needed my drivers license. I told him all I want was a receipt and the ticket so I could leave the parking lot. He refused to give me a receipt or the ticket I paid the additional $14 for. He told me he had to make a report to the city of each lost ticket. He took the information from my driver license and followed me to my car and got my plate number. As you are aware from reading this I was very frustrated. I had my receipt showing I paid for parking Lost ticket is $14, which includes to cost of parking. Why was I charged $8.75 plus the $14 for the lost ticket and what can be done about this.
