tivo / warranty tivo / warranty August 30, 2005 I purchased a tivo machine with an extended warranty approx. 6 months ago. The warranty was good for four yrs. The machine stopped working, I returned it to Best Buy,and after making their own determination that the machine was broken, I got a new machine. I had originally purchased a more expensive machine,but they were no longer carrying it.
I agreed to take the less expensive machine. However,when it came to me receiving a refund in cash for the difference,they refused to do so.They said it was ''company policy'' and absolutely refused to do so. To add insult to injury,the 4 yr. warranty was now null and void and I would be required to purchase a new 4 yr. warranty.
They were very hostile and did not seem to care at all about customer satisfaction. All I want is my refund in cash and a refund on the unused portion of the warranty. I will never buy anything from them again and will make a point of letting everyone I know how horrible they are.
