Overstock.com's woefully inadequate service Overstock.com's woefully inadequate service August 29, 2005 First Overstock.com send me the wrong item. Apparently if they make a mistake and send an incorrect item, the customer has to go through the entire ordering process again! (Obviously ridiculous so I didn't bother re-ordering. I thought I'd get the refund out of the way first) Then they offer to pay the shipping charges for its return, which I thought was fair enough so I followed their instructions to the letter. Having proof that the item was received and signed for on their side, Overstock.com sent me an e-mail saying I would receive my refund within 10 days or so. Now, about a month later, I find out that Overstock.com has changed its mind and want me to pay for the shipping of the item I never asked for in the first place. I would strongly advise anyone NOT to buy anything from this company. You would be saving yourself alot of hassle.
