HSFC BANK HSFC BANK August 29, 2005 TO WHOM SO IT MAY CONCERN ============================== Hello, I am Nishant Khatri. I have been a loyal customer of HDFC BANK for more than 2 years. I have a saving bank account with you; my customar id. 4018469. I also own a crediat card from your bank. Yesterday, 29th of August a sardarji came to my home in my absence for the recovry of credit card dues that I have already paid on 25th August. Somehow they were not updated with your recovery team records and they approached my house. I was not present and they asked my parents to submit Rs 200 to them as minimum payment. They were not aware of my credit dues and refused to make any payments and asked the recovery agent (the surd) to come back at 4 p.m as I'll be avaliable that time and he can talk to me. But, the surd was adament and made my parents talk to some Mr. Vicky Malhotra at 51411660. My father said that we'll settle any payments, if any due (please note I have already made the payments on 25th), however, let our son come. That Vicky Malhotra said to send police at my home and file a case against me. Additionally, he made my father talk to his Advocate. FOR WHAT, THE DUES THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID? When I reached home and was made aware of the issue by my parents, I immidiately called your customer care and some Ms. Shipli at your call center confirmed that they have received payments on 25th. I immediately called this Vicky Malhotra and asked him about the matter. Amazingly, he didn't have the updated data with him and he again asked me to make the payments. Only after I told him about the conversation that I had with Shilpi, se called me back after 5 minutes and confirmed it. Now, my question to HDFC is. Is this way to treat the customers? Whoes fault was it? Am I supposed to update the data on your servers? Is this the way your recovery agents talk to elderly people? I am seriously hurt now; I can't withstand insult of my parents. I want a written apology from HDFC or call addressed to my parents or I'll cancel my credit card and bank account. I'll further take this issue to consumer court and CNBC Watch, if no action is taken. I WANT QUICK ACTION.
