Poor Customer Service

Poor Customer Service Poor Customer Service August 29, 2005 I have been shopping for a truck for a few months now and had finally decided on a Toyota. I went to a Toyota dealership expecting to get great customer service and go home with a reliable truck. I first visited the RK Toyota, Hampton, VA on Sunday Aug 28. The gentleman I talked to did help me out then. I picked out a truck I liked and headed home waiting to hear from them the next day to say whether I was approved or not. I received the first phone call around 1pm, he said he would call me back in about half an hour. Almost an hour goes by and I have to call him to see what is going on with my credit. He gives me an excuse and says he will call me back in 5 min. 2 hours later I grab a very good friend of mine and head to the dealership. The gentleman basically blows me off so I find another sales person help me. She helps me out as I had decided on another truck and we sat done to do some numbers. They said I was approved for a $34,000 Tundra, but I told them I had changed my mind and wanted a $27,000 Tacoma. They in turn said that I was not approved for that and then brought a 2003 Tacoma that had multiple scratches and after market stuff. I was very disappointed in their effort to try and sell me a used truck when I clearly wanted a new one. I talked to the young lady that helped me and thanked her for her help, then stated to the manager that I was taking my business elsewhere, she replied very hatefully "I KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO...". I walked off at this point very disappointed in the way this was handled. Is that normal to be blown off if you don't want the truck you originally wanted?
Thank you
