Cellular One / Service

Cellular One Hudson Valley Region New York

First I have been a customer for nearly 8 years of Cell One. For the last year I have been experiencing the following issues on my phone on a daily basis - dropped calls, the inability to receive incoming calls, and the inability to make outgoing calls.

Dropped call issue - for example my home is in my home calling area. One day I am able to speak on my phone and the next day I will have no service what so ever. How do I go from full bars to no bars consistently in the same area? I do not live on a mountain. I can be on Route 9S between two major cities and experience my calls dropped numerous times. Again this is my home area. I can evidence this by the number of times I redial the same number. I experience this in my traveling area that is still within my home area. I am talking of a distance of 30-40 miles.

Inability to recieve incoming calls - family/friends/clients receive the following messages when dialing my phone - fast busy signal, call cannot be completed at this time, all circuits are busy. This can be intermittent to total loss.

Inability to make outgoing calls - all circuits are busy, call failed, error in connection. These messages occur daily. I have to dial multiple times before I am 'allowed' to dial out.

Cell One acknowledges that there is a problem but refuses to fix it. Recently I took the matter up with the Attorney General's Office. Cell One responded by stating they are terminating my contract effective September 2, 2005. I have been a customer for nearly 8 years. Initially I just wanted the problem fixed. Now I feel they are hiding something. The District Ofc of Attorney General tells me that they have been receiving a ton of complaints similar to mine. If my service is terminated I no longer have proof on a daily basis that these problems are occuring. I know that is what Cell One wants. I feel I have rights as a customer and that they are using big company status to try to squash a legitmate issue. I am looking for other Hudson Valley customers with the same issue.
