Took my 2000 Toyota Celica(14,700 miles) in for a recall notice.Told them that there was rattle sound when starting from complete stop. After examination thye told me that is was a belt tensioner and it was worn out from not enough use.Furthermore explained that it is standard procedure to replace belt attached to tensioner.Cost 450.00.So apparently I am paying for a device that is obviously faulty ie (nothing in my experience in an automobile engine that isn't a moving part wears out from lack of use.)So basically Toyota and the dealership know that they build a part that wears out from lack of use.Absolutley ridiculous.Last time I will buy from this dealership.
