Maytag Washer

We purchased a Maytag heavy duty washer in March of 2003. It is only 2 years old. First it became off balanced on a regular basis and "walked" out into the middle of the laundry room. Then it sounded like an air plane taking off during the spin cycle (it was so loud I could not talk on the phone). Then it began leaking water from the bottom of the machine and finally, it would not spin out any more.

I contacted Maytag and their reply was "sometimes machines have faulty parts" and call a repairman". A two year old machine should not have this many "faulty parts". The only thing still under warranty is the transmission. Maytag did NOT back their product. I bought a more expensive Maytag so that I would not have to replace it so soon. Apparently, the Maytag repairman is not THE LONLIEST MAN IN TOWN".

I will now buy the cheapest "generic" machine I can find. If I have to replace these Made in China appliances every two years, I will NOT spend alot of money!!
