AmeriCredit Customer Service NIGHTMARE

AmeriCredit Customer Service NIGHTMARE AmeriCredit Customer Service NIGHTMARE August 15, 2005 I am having the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE (or lack there-of) experience I have ever had, in my life while trying to conduct a very simple transaction with Americredit (to make a car loan payment) by the rudest C.S. people I have ever encountered. I have had a C.S. rep saying repeatedly that I was yelling at her and to stop shouting, when (I have witnesses who were in the room with me, to the fact that) I NEVER raised my voice- not sure for whose benefit her comments were, but they were not , obviously,in reaction to MY behavior. She woudn't identify herself and I asked for, but ultimately INSISTED on speaking to a supervisor. She transfered me to the "supervisor" Tina, who would also not identify the previous rep., and then turned out not to be a supervisor, AT ALL, and to be extremely RUDE also. Tina, instead of transfering me to a C.S. Supervisor, as she said she would do, she transfered me elsewhere.
Eventually, I did get transfered to someone named Naomi, again pretty darn rude, who told me she has no supervisor, because her supervisor is on vacation. I have asked for an e-mail address for the Director of Customer Service and was told they didn't have one (an address, that is). I was told I would be forwarded to parties, and then hung up on, and ALL I WAS TRYING TO DO IS MAKE MY PAYMENT. I had my mother assist me with this and Naomi called her a liar because her voice and mine are similar (imagine two people related by blood having similar voices...that must be impossible, huh?). We had to hang up and call again, to get a C.S. Rep who was a little reasonable in order to complete the process. My mother advised me that you folks clearly have TONS of people working for you who have no business dealing with the public, as they do not have the skills or temerament, and that I may need to call several times and just keep hanging up and trying over when I get someone with such an OBVIOUS attitude problem, but as it turns out that is , at least today, of the handful I had the misfortune to have to deal with, MOST of your employees. I was given a phone number for "Andy Vantreeck", but noone would tell me who he is/what his position is, or even what department he is in. I left a message for him to contact me in writing, and am waiting for some response. I need SOMEONE in a position of AUTHORITY in Americredit's Customer Service area SOMEONE ABOVE SUPERVISOR, at LEAST manager, if not the Director, perhaps, to contact me BY E-MAIL or by snail mail, because I need to be able to document anything you folks say, and anything I say to you, as a result of the FIASCO I have been through today. please note that I am sending a copy of my correspondences with you (and yours with me) to the website complaints.com, so other consumers will know EXACTLY what it's like to deal with Americredit. a VERY ANNOYED customer,

I told the rep I was not this woman, he called me a lier and said he was sending a officer to my house to get the car. I told him bring it on. He called back 2 hours later saying I was hiding the car. I called them and finaley talked to a supervisor told him what had happened. Then the next day the same guy calls me back cusing me cause he lost his job. They actually had the audacity to keep calling me at all hours of the day for my "late payment" even though they had all of the documentation showing they'd had the money for weeks!! They also tried to tell me that because the bank statement I faxed them showing the transaction didn't show my bank account balance next to the transaction they couldn't use that as sufficient evidence!! My bank was on the line with them on three way at the time. These people are completely incapable of functioning with society rationally!! Only 1 year to go...THANK GOD! One of the worst service you could imagine comes from Americredit. I had purchased a car from a person who had a lien from Americredit. I accepted to pay the money to Americredit directly so that they can send the title directly to me. I sent the check and it was cleared in no time. The Customer service representative (CSR) said that if I could send the copy of the payment reflecting on my account they would release the title immediately. I confirmed later and they said that they had indeed sent the title already. I call up after a week when I did not receive it and they said they have sent it and asked me to wait. One more week gone but no information on my title. Called them up again today and they said that the title was never released and it would take 20 days from the date of check for them to release the title. When I questioned on the previous call the CSR was talking as if those calls never existed and said I cannot expect to get the title until 20 days. Not sure from which world do the CSR come from but it was one of the worst CSR talk I ever had. I am still waiting to see when I would get the title at least after the due date. Americredit is the worst ever. They are all very rude and don't care what is going on with you in your life only when they can get home. I don't think that there are any managers or supervisors in the building at all. Or they just don't want to get into trouble for thier actions. They just pass the phone call on to one of thier friends who pretends to be someone they are not.
