V-Tech Phone - No help on defective handsets V-Tech Phone - No help on defective handsets August 15, 2005 V-Tech Communications I purchased a V-Tech 2656 cordless phone with 4 handsets from BJ's. I have 2 handsets that do not work properly. The mouth piece and the ear piece stop working in the middle of a call. I called customer support 1-800-959-5112 and spoke with Lucille on 8/15/05 at 4:45 PM EST. She asked me 50 questions and then transfers me to an automated message where to return the phone IF I have my receipt. ( I don't have it.) So then V-Tech offers a discounted web site that I can purchase and other V-tech phone at a supposed discounted price. Give me a break. Where is the customer service nowadays? Couldn't they have me send back the DEFECTED handsets and replace them in good faith. Why is Corporate America/Canada treat us consumers so lousy and need to make a buck. Gosh, it was so easy to replace my electric toothbrush when I had a problem and it was worth 3/4 what all 4 of those phones are worth. I will remember THAT company for standing by there product and NOW I will remember V-Tech for not providing assistance!!! DO NOT BY V-TECH!!!! Kathy
