Amazon.com payments feature is awful!!! Amazon.com payments feature is awful!!! August 14, 2005 I am furious about the payments feature on Amazon.com. About four weeks ago, I started selling items on Amazon.com. Each time after an item was 'sold,' Amazon.com claimed to have credited my payment account with the money. Then two weeks later, I received an e-mail saying that it would take 14 days for Amazon to route my money to my checking account. Now it has been a month, and I have not received any payments at all from Amazon, yet my payments history listed on Amazon currently reads that I have been paid. Meanwhile, i have shipped all the items to the buyers, paying for the shipping costs out of my own pocket. The meager 'shipping' money that Amazon gives the seller doesn't even defray the shipping costs after the huge chunk in commission they take away from each sell, especially if the item is a heavy textbook. I am a poor college student, and I need the money to be routed to my checking account as soon as possible. Amazon is failing my every expectation in promptness. Added to the insult is the un-navigable website that does not have any customer feedback options for me to write to Amazon directly. Their help page is not intuitive to the user, and their FAQs do not address this issue of routing payments. I hope that Complaints.com will help bring this up to Amazon.com for me in the hopes of getting me the money Amazon.com owes me. ~Laura Click this link to e-mail the message author: Email User From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Monday, 15-Aug-05 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
