Regarding a complaint on the forums
http://www.complaints.com/directory/2005/august/14/24.htm Customer actually voided his warranty because he took his computer to Italywe dont warranty our products for use overseas because of voltage requirements, and thats stated clearly in the warrantybut he failed to mention that he waited two months to contact us regarding the issue, ignoring the overheat warnings until it cooked the processor. We gave him technical support assistance despite all of that, but stopped short of replacing his PC due to the breach in warranty. I wanted to make sure you were aware that this is not a justifiable complaint. We take our customer service VERY seriously. ________________________________________________ Heather Taylor Customer Care Coordinator Velocity Micro - Ultra Performance PCs Experience speed for the first time! www.VelocityMicro.com T - 804-897-6166 x225 F - 804-897-4777 TF - 800-303-7866

1-800-303-7866 Sales phone hours: 7am-11pm Monday - Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday Eastern Time Velocity Micro, Inc., Richmond, Virginia. Pay attention! Do not under any circumstances buy anything from Velocity Micro. Caveat Emptor! I bought one of their customized systems I got it pretty fast over USPS and hooked it up to the rest of my peripherals it was working just fine - it lasted JUST THREE MONTHS! The damn thing fried itself probably due to poor workmanship and cheap parts. I called the company and told them what happened; at first they were helpful, but after their attempted solutions failed to bring the system back to life they just told me to go and find someone who can fix it what a crock of ! To add injury to insult they refused to honor the warranty get this: due to my operating environment being too hot so hot to them is between 82 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit???!!! So that means that no one in the Southern Hemisphere can use their products? Oh wait . I happen to be in the Northern part of the World and damn, Alaska is having a heat wave .maybe the environment is too hot there too Oh geez maybe I dont know anything about computers . I just happen to run an IT department maybe it was really too hot... what happened to my other 3 computers operating in the same environment? Save yourself the pain and the hassles and the snooty little remarks from people who obviously do not know what customer service, satisfaction and loyalty mean . Buy SONY computers Im extremely happy with my VAIOs (2 desktops and a laptop) and they can handle the harsh operating environments of hot-as-hell-the-walls-are-melting! 82 degrees friggin Fahrenheit! http://joesjourneys.blogspot.com Jose Click this link to e-mail the message author: Email User From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Monday, 15-Aug-05 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI can see why Velocity Micro has so many complaints. I wish I would have searched better for complaints before I purchased a product from them. I bought a netbook from them. They advertised it as 6 hours of battery life. Buyer beware! I strongly urge you not to purchase their netbook. VM advertises 4 cell 5 hour battery or a 6 hour 6 cell battery. turns out the extended battery life is about 3 hours. I’ve been writing to them for a month trying to resolve before posting and they said they are not responsible for the reviews. That’s funny because we all know that the company’s provide the specs to the media and websites. I’m out the $400 but at least I can help others. VM really missed the mark and will be a player in the netbook world. Go for an ASUS or ACER. There’s no comparison, they are the leaders and deliver what they promise. I agree that their after sales service is horrible From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 08-Jul-09 22:09:43 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
