I ordered bunk beds from a company online (Affordable-beds.com) on March 12, 2005. Apparently the warehouse that handles the furniture is Powell Kids. When I received my delivery on March 21, 2005 I had nine of about 30 parts damaged. In my first conversation with the lady who handles these situations I was told their policy is to send replacement parts, not to let the consumer return the items with a full refund.

If I wanted to return the items I would have to pay a restock fee. So I asked "what if the new parts come damaged?" I was told they usually don't. So far it has taken two weeks just to get the part #'s correct. I received my new parts today April 7, 2005. And yes, they were damaged. The damages are not minor ones. We are talking about a whole bed post broke off of the headboard. If the wood is junk, then I don't think it would be sturdy for my children.
