Magazine Billing Services for Archaeology Magazine

I received a renewal notice from Magazine Billing Services for Archaeology Magazine. the notice looked authentic so I mailed in a $20.00 renewal on March 12, 2005. The magazine itself then published a notice saying they were not affiliated with this service and that there was a problem with the company. Since then I received three other notices to renew other magazines.

They are from this company with an address in San Luis Obispo, CA, two from Magazine Payment Services in Sausalito, CA and one from Readers Publication Services in Stephens City, VA. they are all the same company as they all use the same "billing" form. My own experiences and others tell us this is a scam. Do not send money to anything resembling these services!!!!
