Provides bad service.
In Jan 05 I called Dell and spoke to Vada Liggins a sales rep. I wanted to see if I qualified for a Dell Account. I did and then I got prices on computers. The next day I got an email confirmation from dell IT WAS AN ORDER CONFIRMATION. SHE PLACED THE ORDER WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I emailed her she would not respond I emailed 5 times asking for the manager's name and she gave me the wrong name and the wrong phone number for him. In the meantime I called Customer Care 18 times having to tell the same story over and over to be put on hold , hung up on, and told we will look into it. I received bill after bill.
I wrote Dell, called more, etc...finally I wrote the BBB of Chicago and they wrote DEll on my behalf asking for them to credit me for the charge on my account. I never received the computer so how can I be charged? They asked Dell to remove it from my credit report. Dell wrote me finally saying it was all handled. I received a bill this April that had the credit on it but I was asking to pay for the interest and the finance charges which totaled $363. Why? I have had to file another complaint with the BBB and Dell hasn't responded to them yet. They provide terrible service and they is know one in authority there to write to . You can call and ask for a manager a hundred times but they won't transfer you. Go to the Dell website under Message Forums and you can see emails complaints by the hundreds complaining about Dell. I would not buy from DEll.
