To Whoever Will Show Any Concern: I am writing in hopes that someone somewhere can release me from what is my own personal Best Buy Reward Zone induced Hell. If I do not receive some sort of indication of competency on your part, I shall surely blow my brains out. Please know that when I am finally driven to this appalling action I will indicate in my note that your company was the cause of my slow descent into madness thus forcing me to end my torturous existence with the aforementioned shot to the head. I cannot imagine that the resulting headline "Much loved wife and mother takes own life? Best Buy Reward Zone blamed" would be good for business. Although it will no doubt push me off the precipice I am so precariously perched upon I will attempt to relay the circumstances leading to my present pitiable condition. Untold months ago (at least six), I unsuccessfully tried to obtain my Reward Zone coupon. I spoke with scores of service people including several supervisors, one of whom was nice enough to add five dollars to the amount on my nonexistent coupon for all the trouble I've gone through not to receive it. I was assigned numerous case numbers, all to no avail. The allusive, and in my current state of madness I am beginning to believe figment of my imagination, Reward Zone coupon has yet to be delivered. I cannot begin to convey the amount of time wasted nor the countless futile phone calls made for naught. I was given limitless reasons as to why my coupon was not sent as well as assured innumerable times that the current problem was fixed and, if I hear this phrase one more time without result I know I will indeed go insane, that I can expect my coupon in four to six weeks.
For several months, various service people assured me that my coupon would be delivered via email but apparently the problems involved in that were insurmountable and another two months were wasted. Rick the supervisor, case #17262015, instructed me to change the mode of delivery on your website to conventional mail to my home address, which I knew was not going to work having been told several times by your congenial staff that my address was undeliverable. Thank God, no one on your staff deemed it necessary to inform the Post Office of my undeliverable status, they are still blissfully ignorant and I fortunately continue to receive mail. Rick was so adamant that he had solved my problem, and yet much to my lack of surprise still no coupon. I am leaving for vacation in June and had foolishly hoped to use the coupon towards the purchase of a digital camera. By the by, I have purchased several computers as well as many other products at Best Buy and on my honor trust me when I say pigs will fly before I do so again. I am writing this letter not in hopes that I will at last receive my coupon; I have taken Dante's advice and abandoned the notion of hope. It is my intent to document the lengths I went to in order to prevent my tragic demise in expectation that it will bolster the lawsuit my bereaved family members will undoubtedly file against your company when they discover my body and the accompanying note detailing how Best Buy Rewards Zone drove me to it. I realize that it can be most difficult to follow the musings of a mind in such a deteriorated shape as mine so I will endeavor to summarize as succinctly as possible. I say this plainly and with all the emphasis it is possible to convey, I want my freaking coupon and I want it now!!! Insanely yours, Click this link to e-mail the message author: Email User From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Saturday, 30-Apr-05 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI initially contacted the Reward Zone program in December 2007 regarding an alert that my email address needed updating. I have had the same email address since I initially enrolled in the program in 2006, never had a problem, and all of a sudden, POOF, CHAOS! I contacted the "Reward Zone" via email and the email response advised me to call. It took about a week to get through to someone who later proved to be worthless. The rep verified my information and advised me that this would be resolved within 7 â 10 business days. I accessed the Reward Zone website about 15 days later and the issue was not resolved. I called again, same 'you know what'; a different person. This person stated I could access my certificates within 48-72 hours. I checked the website again a week later. (I don't even know why!) This time, the information on âMYâ account had been completely changed to another person. When I called this time, the rep had no idea of a prior issue and proceeded to ask when I last redeemed a certificate and what credit cards I used at Best Buy. He stated he needed this information to resolve my issue. (Yeah right, like he was goig to fix something!)
At this point, it has become more of a âprincipleâ issue; so I had to write this letter in hopes that others will not be sucked in and will STO SHOPPING AT BEST BUY! Maybe then, the REWARD ZONE will get the message from BESY BUY! Just happened to stumble on this website and I have to say that your vehemately verbose verbage verifies and vilifies the very fabric of what many have expierianced with BestBuy. My heart goes out to you and I implore you to seriously reconsider performing Seppuku. The world needs you......
