I have an Epson Stylus CX5400 Printer that is not printing properly and is still under warranty. I notified tech support and we went through the troubleshooting steps and it was determined that it is defective. They stated that they would send me another printer in exchange for the old one but want to charge $135 on my credit card for a security. This is an outrageous request for a product of theirs that is defective and under their warranty.

 

Why am I going to give them any money unless I fail to return the exchange and then charge my credit card for the amount. I believe this is an unacceptable business practice and I will never buy another printer from Epson again. All other manufacturers just do the transaction and if the old product is not returned then you are billed for the product.
